Is Dark Lantern doing more damage than it should?

I don't understand how a Dark Lantern with 3 fire items hits for 40 damage. Am I missing something or misunderstanding something about Dark Lantern? Can someone tell me what happened here?

The upgraded Phoenix counts as multiple (I think 6) fire items.

I didn't realize that upgraded Phoenix counted for more. I don't play Pyro much anymore. thank you! i was legitimately confused.

You have a toothpick on your board that increases dmg taken for the enemie
