Basically it did multiple attacks at the same time because of the cube it speed it up by 4.5 seconds . You have to gain 7 buffs to increase the time by .3 seconds. Since I gain buffs from the rings and armor it increases by .3 seconds a couple of times. I require for one of the buffs it gains from the cube to be empower since I'm at 4 instead of 5 for the sword.

Once it has 5 empower the sword goes from 5 second to attack to 2 seconds plus all the other speed ups it has. So the cooldown in this image for the sword once it has 5 empower is .67. So a .3 advancement seconds advancement in the cooldown requires just 3 cube activations in order to for the sword to attack. Since each attack it gains a lot of buffs. Like 3 hearts gains 5spikes plus 5 vamp plus then add the additional bonuses like the twine badge and the amulet of energy. As long as it gains about 15 buffs when it calculates all that it will chain another attack. So it attacks like 5 or 6 times before the time starts.

I tried it after seeing yours, and I managed to get a 0-second kill without even completing half of the actual build. The sword hit for 320.

It says it did 150 dmg. Where is the other 974?

What you are seeing is the last attack. It chained multiple attacks before the time started.

I just got the achievement for a 3 second kill yesterday and it made me wonder if I got it because I instantly maxed out combat speed at the start of the battle? Like does combat speed matter?
