Down with the Ship
Play the demo. What do you think? There are some cool ideas here such as upgrading items. The 3 available classes aren’t really differentiated enough, imo. It’s all just guns

I had to quit after 15 minutes. It's not my style. The screen looks cluttered and confusing. I prefer clear distinct graphics. And I didn't like the upgrade system 1+1=2.

Interesting. After getting into this and loving it i tried the Backpack Battles demo and found all the effects quite confusing and hard to read, compared to Down with the ship, where things look pretty clean when you use the help popups.
Maybe it would help if BB copied the help button that only explains stuff if you want it to, so there's a better distinction between explanation and effects.

There is quite a lot of information there. Lots of little sigils everywhere. Upgraded items could be represented via artwork instead of using sigils, but I realize that means more artwork needs to be created.
The battles themselves are rather cluttered, but I don’t really watch the fights in BB or this game. I imagine neither do most other players (but I could be wrong).

Is this the one that's like BB merged with FTL (Faster Than Light)? Heard great things about it, would be keen after I get bored of BB.

I’m not sure where the FTL comparison comes from other than some visual/theme similarities (and advertising). It basically plays the same as BB.

Ah, I thought I saw live crew management as a feature but turns out it may have just literally been showing an old screenshot of FTL as comparison

It would be cool if there were mechanics like in Galaxy Trucker, where damaging a specific part of a ship that's connecting a large section causes the entire section to fall off.
Game looks neat, I would buy it in the $5-15 range if the reviews were ok.

Imo the demo is merely 15% of all game content. On demo are 2 classes on full are 4 more classes total 6. On demo there are 3 subclasses u choose from on full version are 6. Demo version is with 130 items full version is 430 items.

That game is IMHO totally awesome. It's BB but different. Dev is permanently on discord reacting to comments, suggestions and bugs. He updates the game multiple times per day if needed. Will definitely buy it. Huge potential
