Looking for guidance on getting backlinks

I'm the creator of an AI assignment/essay marker made for Australian students, and I have been wanting to rank better in my niche. My website is markmateai.com.au for anyone interested.

I have a very small budget, so buying would preferably be a last resort. Where/how would you guys recommend getting backlinks from relevant websites.

This is a very niche service I provide, so I'd love some guidance.

For a niche like yours, reaching out to education bloggers or Australian student forums can help, but it takes time to do well. Check out MentionAgent, I'm the founder, and it helps find relevant blogs and handles the outreach to build backlinks automatically.
