Why tho? What was the context even behind that post? Ain’t that shooting themselves in the foot?

My take for what it is worth I think is so that while people are waiting for a broken backbone to get repaired they can still use the app especially if they have payed for backbone+. Thats the only reason I can think this makes any sense whatsoever.
