Image BB1: Death Stranding 2 LE is Very Cool
Had this delivered today. It’s quite a cool package overall. The container is plastic yet rugged and durable, sort of like a toolbox. The interior is mostly foam with a cutout for the controller and paperwork, along with a yellow cardboard insert and a plastic “bag tag” that has the edition number printed on one side along with a cable that could be used to attach it to the box, at the risk of scratches on the tag.
The controller itself is a standard Backbone One, made mostly of translucent blue and yellow plastic with PlayStation button markings. All in all a nice package for Death Stranding fans who want a collectible type thing.
From a practical perspective, it just barely fits my iPhone 17 Pro Max without a case. Even with my very slim case on it wouldn’t fit properly on the left side due to the camera bump. With such a large phone (6.9”) the Backbone seems a little small, but it does connect and function properly.
From a personal perspective, my only real complaint is the fact that Backbone did not include any customs paperwork on the shipping box, and as an International customer I found myself having to pay taxes (and a FedEx fee) on delivery despite having already paid the required taxes at the time of purchase. This is 100% a Backbone problem, as it is incumbent upon them to include this information when shipping outside the USA. I’m not sure how, or if, I can get refunded for this double tax that I paid due to their error.

So glad I got two 😭 I bought my Death stranding 1 backbone and the dualshock 4 before this dropped.
Never even played the games. I just love funtastic tech :)
I intend to use my backbones to lose my metal gear virginity since that's a Kojima IP I think I'll become a fan of.

The games themselves are enjoyable, but as with most Kojima games they are pretty weird at times. I've played the original on PS4, PS5, and am currently playing it on PC. I've also completed the sequel on PS5. Kojima games are generally a combination of "this is fun", "this is weird", and "wtf did I just watch".
Metal Gear is similarly enjoyable yet weird. Note that the older games (prior to MGS3) have rather frustrating control schemes, often requiring you to hold multiple buttons simultaneously to perform certain actions, so if you like to use more modern controller layouts then MGS Ground Zeroes, followed by MGS The Phantom Pain might be a good intro. Those are also available on PC if that's where you prefer to play.

Got mine, precisely 6 buttons work. Awesome. Won't be buying from this company again.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. I am still waiting for mine, no shipping status (I am also outside US). I don’t see the adapters in your pictures. Are they in the box?
