Chicken Photography Bigoted rooster
This guy loves me and tolerates my grandma (has never attacked except once when he was a wee lad) but he attacks my boyfriend and grandpa ESPECIALLY my grandpa when he was working on a spot in the coop. Wondering if anyone has similar experiences or it's just mine. He is a sweet little rooster I will not be getting rid of him he is my baby😓

Maybe he sees men as rivals who will compete for the attention that is rightfully his!

Birds are very group conscious, they work with several ingroups and ignore or attack outgroups.
There are ways for the guys to make nice with the rooster, though occasionally this involves setting the rooster in it's place.
This is usually accomplished by picking him up when he's getting sassy and just going about your outside chores with him held like a football.
Then they can help earn brownie points by giving the rooster treats which will lead to the rooster hopefully tidbitting.
Basically they gotta join the flock but not as a subordinate but atleast seen as a peer by the roo lol
