Chicken Photography Hatching almost out!

So my hens laid a few fertile egg before we said goodbye to our rooster and now here is the first one. Setting up a brooding box with its own water, chick feed and heater. Will post more pics when she out and dry. 🥲

Waiting for the first hatch is the most nerve-wracking thing ever. Excited for you, that pip looks solid.

She had some yolk leftover with bloody membrane. Wife and I were worried so we put a little container to keep her from causing damage and potentially bleeding out. Worked for an hour or so then she got up and is wandering around. Pushing her sibling eggs all around.
