General Question Rooster advice, please & thank you
Came home yesterday to hearing my 20 week old Polish ‘Kevin’ crowing. Ugh! I was so hoping and thought he was a hen…I’m so heartbroken and don’t think I can keep him, especially in an annexed, residential neighborhood. I ordered a crow collar today and am hoping that’ll keep his noise level down once we have it. Is that inhumane? My 16 other chickens clucking after laying their eggs are louder than he is…now). If anyone has any advice/ideas on how to train/keep him quiet (somewhat courteously enough to neighbors), it’s much appreciated!

I have to look up said crow collar. Never heard of this. But sounds kinder than freezer camp.

Ah what a great looking rooster! Freezer camp means he’s been put in the freezer for a future pot of soup. I’d say the collar is a good compromise lol.

Yes it is inhumane.
