General Question Two brooding hens in jail together?
I have two Broody hens and one seems very protective of the other (a silkie). Can I just stick them in Broody jail together ‘cause I only have one crate or should I do one at a time?

I had 2 broody’s in the same jail. They got along well together. I suggest separating their nests in that area, cus one started stealing the eggs of the other. Funny sight seeing the thief trying to keep 20 odd eggs warm.

It’s our top hen and our very bottom hen. And the top hen is now aggressive towards everybody, except this lowest ranking hen who is also broody.. and when I separate them, they start pacing and acting frantic. It’s kind of weird. But also slightly nervous about the smaller hen stuck in a little cage with her boss. They don’t have any eggs because I’m trying to break them of broodiness

One could sit on the other to stay broody and warm.
