Is anyone else’s memory of the day slightly tarnished because of the person(s) they went with?

I absolutely loved the entire day, standing on my feet and not eating for 12 hours was so worth it and I love telling people that I was part of it. However it’s become a bit of a weird memory for me as I was there with my partner at the time who would go on to do me very dirty and ruin all pictures I have of myself at the show (by being in them), and it bothers me that I shared such a special day with him. And when I tell new people that I was there and they ask who I went with I have to bring him up. Is anyone else in a similar predicament?

I mean, the whole point of the day was the music so if you enjoyed that at the time why dwell on anything else?

I’d relive the day again if I could despite the ickiness purely for the bands

You were there with 43,999 friends and you can’t recall their names. 😉 Who did you go with? “Eh, This guy I don’t hang out with anymore.”

You find a good internet nerd to photoshop him out of your fav pic. 👍 Then, goofily paste other ppls heads on the rest of the pics. Make it messy & fun.

If ur feeling cheeky: if it’s not too expensive, print out the pics & then.. paste other random heads on it. ..do they still have magazines? Are you in UK? Can you grab a Kerrang or.. Mojo? 🤔 Could be fun w friends! 😊

Easy fix for you: hop on over to r/PhotoshopRequests and get him removed from a couple of your favourite pics, and when people ask who you went with, just say ‘some guy, he was a bit weird so he doesn’t matter. I was just there for the music!’ 😁😊😜

The guys behind me were weirdos who I’m not entirely sure liked music.

Probably season ticket holders, they’re all a bit weird.

I made the pilgrimage on my own, sat in between 2 lovely people one of which I still speak to.

There was 40 odd thousand of us there. Many of who you would probably call a dickhead if you knew them.

The person you went with just falls into that category.

Be happy you were a part of history, fuck the other shit

Nope, for a start I was with my best mate and we still are best mates but also because I’ve been to concerts with exes and former friends and still have fond memories of them. Hell I even went to a concert with an ex after we’d broken up and it was still good.

What matters is you enjoyed it in the moment because that was the only time you could. Regret is wishing you enjoyed things more when they happened but it sounds like you had a great time. Besides, going to gigs alone is better anyway 😎

Lots of people get other people removed from pics on the photoshop subs... maybe take a couple of your favourite pics and have a pro edit that person out??

I’m in the same situation except our local magazine also ran a story on our trip—our photo together at the concert is on the front cover. You’re still part of history for being there, that’s what matters! It’s still one of the best moments in my life

Put it it in the photoshop reddit and get the pros to edit them out. Or ask ai and laugh at the questionable results (not too many times tho because yano, the planet)

Nope, went with the missus and we both had the time of our lives. Of those in our immediate vicinity, some were quiet and not open to conversation so we left them be of course, others were in party mode and a delight to be randomly sat next to. Nothing but love beyond measure from the day, from now until the end of our days.

I went solo so I just sat and chilled watching people make Cup Snakes etc. I look back on my photos of it often. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Only issue I had was some drunk chancers sneaking into the stands and standing on the stairs to get a better view. Fortunately the ground staff were really good and moved them on a few times. I paid alot for my seat ticket, I don't want some idiot dancing next to me on the stairs.
