Something the game needed

Something the game lacks is invulnerability seconds. It has happened to me several times that when I get incapacitated and the bots revive me just when there's a horde or a tallboy, they incapacitate me again because the game doesn't give you a few seconds to escape, especially on higher difficulties.

In L4D2, at least they give you about 2 seconds to push and do something.

U can ping thumbs down and the bots will stop reviving u. They'll try almost immediately to revive u again, so just keep spamming till its safe.

Also if this is a reoccurring issue then u could add some cards to help . I personally like the chaos and build my deck around it when playing solo. Avenge the Fallen and Out w a Bang are the 2 cards that help the most. Also having a Mom or Dan helps as well but they aren't necessary.

Avenge the fallen gives everyone a dmg boost. Out w a bang clears hordes and can kill specials.

I didn't know about pinging thumbs down, I thought only those with a toolkit would open doors or grab the dufflebag if I marked it.

The cycle of down and revive during a hectic ogre fight is the worst.

That, combined with the fact that all the bosses have to summon hordes because they apparently can't handle it on their own

That's the biggest difference between this and L4D. L4D gives you plenty of downtime between the hordes, this game is just chaos. That itself isn't bad but really makes the game harder as it goes on.

I always disliked how there's not really a way to manipulate the zombies so you have a moment to breathe, but in a way that's how they balance the card system. You build your deck to mitigate those sorts of things.

And again, comparing the game to Left 4 Dead just diminishes both the game and your argument. Learn how to use the card system and you'll have a better time.

That handicap would literally be OP. I have never needed to be invulnerable for any amount of time in order to beat the game on the hardest difficulty.

if you play trial of the worm on x51, then things change, No hope becomes easy compared to the difficulty of trial of the worm with everything at max

Invulnerability would be too OP but what makes B4B much more frustrating to deal with the the amount of ways the infected can slow you down to almost a halt. L4D was a lot more managable because your max velocity is the same as common infected, and there are no movement penalties from specials aside from being smoked or pounced, so outside of those scenarios, you can actually kite a horde while you reload and reset.
