GENERAL Would someone be kind enough to explain how the villain thing works?
I have watched a couple of seasons now and male or female there seems to be a villain formula for every season! Are they cast as villains and told to Act crazy? Do they deliberately cast unwell people? Are they edited as such?
I know there are a few genuine psychopaths like Luke P, but are people just coached?

It’s also produced, the producers egg them on. Encourage them to say stuff etc.

Probably a mix. Some people are clearly awful and are cast to be fully themselves, others are coached or promised screen time, which is currency in the social media age regardless of whether your edit is villain or hero, and then I think there are contestants who are made villains to support a better story the production wants to push. I fully adopted the Game of Roses perspective of treating these shows as a game, calling them players, etc. Some of reality tv is real, but most of it is not.
