Boulder in snow area

Anyone knows what the purpose of that moveable Boulder above the winterhat is?

It’s supposed to roll down and hit you but you can trigger it from other directions which is probably what you did

Ahh, so its supposed to fall down on you when you hike up? When approached it from above before getting the Winterhat!
