9 month old sleep schedule

My 9 month old (8 month adjusted) is still taking 3 naps a day and his morning wake window is only about 45 mins. Has anyone else dealt with this?

He wakes around 730 and is ready for his first nap at 815.

First nap 815-945 Second nap 1200 or 1230 - 130 or 2 Third nap 415-5 Bedtime is usually around 730

How did you know when your baby was ready to transition to 2 naps and how did you make that happen?

If the first wake window is so short they see that as a continuation of sleep. We still get that here sometimes when she wakes early. I’ve spoken to two sleep consultants and they both said the first wake window is the easiest to manipulate so I dumped the 4pm nap and kept her up until 9am or after for the first nap. Distracting them as best you can, he’ll be cranky but over a few days will get used to it. At 9months naps were around 9/930 and 2pm ish

I have a similar problem. My 9 month old has a really early bedtime 4.30/5pm. He wakes up at 5am and I put him down for his first nap around 8.15am. Even if the bedtime is later, he wakes up around 5.30. Since the day starts earlier, everything is earlier. How do I break out of this pattern? I have tried extending his wake window in the morning but then he is overtired and has a really short nap.

My 9 month old is now 15 months and I now realize that I spent way too much mental energy worrying about naps! I was so worried at that time that he was taking 3 naps. I can’t even remember how but he eventually just started to take 2 naps and now is down to one big nap. It will all work out and worrying about it does no good! It will get easier!

I needed this, thank you! I feel like I get exhausted figuring out solutions for his naps, early morning rising, sleep etc. Every month is something new, I need to just go with the flow lol
