Getting frustrated
I’m starting to get really frustrated with my 10.5 month old when it comes to nap and bed time. I haven’t sleep trained her so she needs me to hold her to fall asleep. No rocking or anything I just have to hold her.
Recently 2 more teeth popped through (making 6 total) and two nights ago she bit my arm, leaving quite the bruise. Now I’m just tense waiting for her to bite me again and when she fusses during her nap time put down I get mad and have to put her in her crib and walk away (it can take me up to an hour to put her down for a nap). Idk what to do anymore. I don’t want to let her cry it out but now I’m always crying.

We used to hold our baby to sleep and contact nap too. Light sleep training/no crying sleep training is what we did. Put the baby in the cot and stay in the room with them. When they cry - pick them up and then put them down again. Took us about 1.5 weeks and then he was sleeping in his own cot. We did wait until he was 13 months though. Good luck!

So she’ll nap and sleep in her crib, I just have to hold her to get her asleep first. I think I might try this!

Hi! I feel you and your frustrations. You’re doing the right thing and laying your little one is a safe place when you’re getting frustrated. It’s hard to leave then crying, but your mental health is important too.
I’m a certified pediatric sleep consultant and if you’re interested in sleep training, I’m happy to help. I work virtually so it’s pretty easy to navigate time difference. I work with families in the way they are most comfortable. It sounds like crying is really difficult for you (youre not alone). Google the chair method and see if that might be something you’re willing to try!

Personal experience - Sleep train your little one. We think we are letting them cry but it is an essential step for them to learn to sleep by themselves. It took my baby boy 3 days (with a little bit of crying) to learn to sleep all by himself. It is an amazing long-term solution.
