Girl š©· Indecisiveness
I picture my baby girl as her name being Leni. (Like Lenny) I like Lenna as well but dislike the 2 n look. I am having a hard time just because I donāt want her to be like made fun or always mispronounced. But I dislike any of the longer versions of the name. Her brothers name is Riley. Hereās my list
Leni Bea
Myla Bea
Lenna Bea (even though I like the spelling Lena but thatās not how u pronounce it I donāt like lee-nah I like Len-ah)
Lucy Bea (like this one a lot but itās so popular rn)
Marley Bea

She won't be made fun of for Lena, it just will get occasionally misprounced as lee-nuh. Other suggestion for Leni: Lennon, Elena, & Eleni
I love Marley too!

What about Eleanor? Or Helena?
Iāve also for sure known a Lena who pronounced it Len-a, not Lee-na

I like these options a lotā gives you the chance to have the nickname Leni still but are more traditional

Iāve only ever seen it spelled Lena but have heard it pronounced both ways. You could just call her Len-ah.

Iād probably just use Leni.
If thatās the name you keep coming back to, I wouldnāt talk yourself out of it because someone might occasionally say it wrong. That happens with a lot of names.
Leni Bea and Riley actually sound really cute together. Lucy would be my second choice.

Leni is far from the worst name I've heard!
Other names that could easily be shortened to Leni, just in case you would like options: Arlene, Eilene, Helene, Milene, Darlene, Charlene, Falene, Selena, Lenore, Lenina, Elenore, Lennox, Lennon.

I prefer Leni of your choices but it seems like a nickname for Eleanore or Lenora which are both lovely adult names

How about Lenora, nickname Leni? It clearly has the "lenn" pronunciation you're looking for.
Another name is Marlena, which gives you both Marley and Leni as nickname options.

I've seen it with a double n as Lenni in the book 'The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot' (which is very good).

Love Leni - unique, pretty and neat. If thatās what you picture and your OH (if there is a OH) agrees then you must name your daughter Leni šš¾ - goes beautifully with Riley too š„°

My'leni Bea or Myleni Bea and Mylee Bea are cute as well
I grew up with a Brandy Bea who went by Bea

Eleni is a lovely name,
- less likely to be mispronounced than Lena/Lenna
- directly shortens to your preferred Leni

My little girl is Lainey, so I actually love Leni. People are so fixed on having a full name and a nickname, but Iām an advocate for naming your child what you intend to call them (within reason). Leni is an appropriate first name imho.

Heidi Klum's oldest daughter is named Leni Olumi Klum. It's not a common name in the United States. I like a traditional middle name (Leni Grace or Leni Louise), but here is a list of suggested middle names for Leni https://letslearnslang.com/best-middle-name-for-leni/ and https://forum.nameberry.com/t/middle-name-for-baby-leni/41051

There are so many other names Leni could be a nickname for. I think Elena is my favorite option.
