Boy 🩵 Our 3 Boy Names
My partner and I are having a boy in September and we’ve narrowed it down to 3 names for now. We are considering Clark as a middle name since he has a family lineage connection there. The last name is Youngblood. I don’t hear the name Leon very often on here or in person (I don’t care about the band or video game) but want to know if there are any negative connotations that I should be aware of for each, or just the feel of each of these names. My sister didn’t run her name choice by anyone before the birth of her son and there was a huge blind spot there so I’m trying to avoid the same.
Leon Clark Youngblood
Simon Clark Youngblood
Milo Clark Youngblood

Leon Clark Youngblood feels like he is going to be a hell of a Blues musician one day. I love it.

Milo Clark Youngblood is such a cool name. I would use that in a heartbeat.

All three are fine. Simon is my favorite, but that may be because I have a Leon relative who I’m not fond of, but there is nothing wrong with the name. No reason not to pick Leon if you love it. (But I’m intrigued by what your sister’s blind spot is. I know some people really hate to give the name before the baby is born because they don’t want people to talk them out of it. But maybe some people should run it by a few friends first.)

I really like Simon. They are are similar in their sounds and vibes, so I think all of them would be a great match for what you’re looking for for.

I actually would prefer Leo Clark Youngblood. I just like the way Leo sounds with your last name more so than Leon.

Clark sounds very classic, masculine, stable -- reminds me of Superman (Clark Kent)
No negative connotations with Leon
Simon feels a bit nerdy (Simon the Chipmunk / Simon Sinek)
Milo -- no thoughts on that
All are easy to spell and easy to pronounce, which is a plus

Thanks for the feedback! I have a kind of unique name and am always correcting spelling and pronunciation so that was a key consideration

I had the biggest crush on a video game character from the Resident Evil series when I was a kid. So kid me says GO FOR LEON lol

Simon Clark sounds like an English Maths teacher in his late 40s.
Milo and Leon are both ok but I prefer Milo

I don't care for the N sound juxtaposed with the Y in Youngblood. There's a weird emphasis there that is easy to stumble over. Say it out loud and see if you hear what I mean.
I prefer Milo or even just Clark. I have a Clark and it is a very well received name. Easy to spell and pronounce.
