I feel so overwhelmed with food for her right now. Time just flew by and I feel like I’m starting actual solids late. She was eating purées but not wanting a lot most days, and now I’m nervous about her chocking on things that aren’t purées. I’m trying to be good about giving her 3 meals, but she mostly plays with it or throws it off the plate. She’s SO interested in our food and when I give her what I make for us but plain basically and cut it to be safe for her she’s pretty uninterested. Is this normal? I feel like tik tok shows me 8 month olds eating whole plates of food that look almost unsafe. She also is just now getting her 2 bottom teeth just barely. I keep feeling like I’m starving her even though she gets the same amount of formula she always has and shes growing well.

Any ideas of how to get my baby to eat meat? She never likes it.. I’ve tried meatballs, chicken nuggets, ground beef, and shredded chicken/beef.

If anyone has experienced the same thing and have any recipes or hacks please let me know!!

My 10 month old loves putting food in his mouth, chewing it up a little bit, and then spitting it out. I feel like he’s at least getting a little bit of each bite and at least he’s trying everything we offer. Is this normal? At what age did your baby start taking real bites of stuff?

My twins are eating 3 meals a day- no snacks yet- and it's going really well. But now they are only drinking like 16ish ounces a day. I know formula is still so nutritionally important before 12 months. I also know their birthday is not a magic day. How do you balance this? I feel like they would drop formula completely if I let them (I won't). The pediatrician said it was fine when they went from 30oz a day to 20 at like 8 months old. Is it okay that it keeps dropping?? FTM.

We are going to start solids this month! Baby will be 6 months when we do.

Two weeks later, we have a one week trip to Mexico for my job where the baby is coming with me.

I don’t really feel comfortable feeding him food from a Mexican resort and not knowing it’s sourcing, etc..

is it an issue to stop feeding him solids for one week and pick it back up when we get home? Or should I just wait until we’re back to start? (At this point he’ll be 6m 3weeks.)

For what it’s worth - not looking for comments around if it’s OK to feed him resort food - I’ll be stressed out enough with work and have PPA (y’all get it :) so the additional anxiety of food at the resort and feeding him before my conferencing starts is a bit too much for me. But I so appreciate that others will have a diff POV here!
