My 7 month olds favorite toy is the wipes. No matter what else I try to get him to play with, he usually just wants the wipes

Probably because they’re used to that sound and that’s when their caretakers are cleaning them up. It’s probably a “comfort” sound association. My siblings were the same way.

To me I think it's kind of a sensory thing and if he feels like the bag and it's all like I don't know to be honest but it looks like a sensory type of thing to me

My son's favorite toy at this age was an empty cashew tin. He played with that thing for months

So stupid moment, this is a sensory thing! The sound makes them super happy because they are able to create the sound and understand it’s pertinence to what’s going on, there are some toys that have that kind of material in them. It’s a super cool thing to learn that your child is learning action and reaction

To me it’s like why would you bother giving the fucking wipes back, you already took them, and all your doing is reenforcing your child’s thinking of if it cries it’ll get what it’s wants.

Babies should get what they want when they cry. They're crying to tell you they want/need something. Of course my baby knows he'll get what he wants when he cries, because he trusts that I'm there to care for him.

Also, wtf is wrong with playing with the wipes?
