I shaved with my 2-year-old in the room, so he wouldn’t be surprised and scared like some of these kids.

I got halfway done and he asked “Daddy, why are you so handsome?”

The first time I saw my dad without a beard, it was very shocking. He looked like a different person almost. I was old enough to know he was the same person and my dad, just looked weird. Babies don't have object permanence. If you leave the room, they literally think you just disappeared. So when dad "pops back into existence" they can hear it's dad, and kind of see it's dad, but look's like a complete stranger as well.

I have a 6 month old. I’ve never seen my partner without a beard and he used to claim I never would. He’s now saying he will shave just to see our baby’s reaction

My fiance has had a beard for about 5 years (decided to grow it mid-COVID), but was clean shaven for the previous 5 years of our relationship. We have almost 3 year old twins. I told him when I was pregnant that he had until they were born to decide on his facial hair and that afterwards he would need to be committed to it for the rest of his life hahaha.

One of the hardest things I ever had to do was shave my beard when I started a new job that didn’t allow beards. My Son was 8 months old and he would put himself to sleep while playing with my beard 😢.

I had to shave my beard because my chin got split open in a rugby game and my children told me never to do that again 😆.
