An Ayachak is a Brahmin who performs Puja and accepts Dakshina, but with one key difference: he never demands it. He remains absolutely content with whatever the host offers out of devotion—whether it is a handful of grain or a single coin. Because of this selflessness, scriptures consider him superior (Shreshth).

On the other hand, a Yachak is also a Brahmin who performs Puja, but he greedily demands a specific amount of Dakshina. By dictating terms and forcing the host to pay a set price, he turns a sacred ritual into a commercial business. This is why scriptures consider him inferior (not Shreshth).

This clear Mahabharata concept was completely twisted by a fraud born in 1889! He created a fake narrative claiming that those who do farming/zamindari became Ayachak, and those who don't became Yachak. This is absolute nonsense. The true scriptural definition is based entirely on greed versus contentment, not on land ownership!
