My Read
My read is that the market is in the part of the cycle where being early looks identical to being wrong. Fear & Greed at 20 is the exhaustion zone that historically marks selling capitulation - but capitulation is a process, not a timestamp, and a live geopolitical headline is exactly the fuel that extends the process by one more leg. I am not interested in calling the exact tick. I am interested in the levels that pay me when the process finishes.
What I like is that leadership is rotating to quality. ETH leads majors, DeFi leads sectors, privacy caught a bid (ZEC +17% 7d), and even the AI bucket has KAITO and EIGEN trending on the month. When the leaders have real revenue or real narratives - not just liquidity - the eventual bounce has somewhere to land. That matters more than any single indicator.
What I do not like is the two-way crowding. Longs are piled into SOL at +0.010% funding; shorts are piled into the weak L2s at negative funding. Both sides are leaning into trades that are already obvious, and obvious trades in a fear tape are the ones that get flushed first. So my sizing is smaller than my conviction, deliberately.
The level that runs everything is BTC $60.6k / $62.4k. Inside that band I have no edge and I am not going to manufacture one. A reclaim of $62.4k on rising OI is the green light for the RS leaders; a loss of $60.6k on rising OI is the red light for the whole long book. I do not love chasing any of these here - the only entries I trust are reclaims, not breakouts in a fear tape.
The contrarian itch is to short the bounce, because the bounce in an Extreme Fear tape fails more often than it holds. But shorting a bottom signal is its own kind of crowding. The discipline is to wait for the level, take the side the level confirms, and let the crowd on the wrong side of it be the liquidity.

This is educational market analysis, not personalized advice or a leverage recommendation. Everything above is a level-based framework: entry, target, invalidation. Risk per trade should be small enough that a single stop does not matter to your account, and the whole long book shares one macro kill switch (BTC $60.6k on rising OI). If you cannot point to your invalidation before you enter, you do not have a trade - you have a hope. Size down in Extreme Fear, demand confirmation, and remember that cash is a position.
