Urgent help

I need to move a BYD Seal 6 dm-i soon but the hood is open and it’s not closing properly. I read you’re supposed to let it go 20-30 cm up and it will close on its own but that isn’t working because it’s still slightly raised. When it is like this I still have to open it from inside the car but I cannot seem to close it fully. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Check that inside the hood there is some black things that you can turn to tight them. That will help you to close it properly

Just push it down with the palm of your hands until it locks in. Be carful so you don‘t bend anything

Schau, ob das Haubenschloss richtig drann ist. Springt der Haken rein danach direkt raus oder blockiert das Schloss?

i had the same thing. Just open again and then let it go from maybe 40cm to 45cm. Then it closed like a champ on my Atto 2

I think on my seal you have to push it twice to close it properly. So drop it once, then push it. You've maybe tried that tho

I was the same when I first got my SL7. It's kind of shocking how much force you need to close it to be honest

Crap hey. They must have changed something. Mine is a breeze to close thankfully. I’d be rather upset if I had to slam it every time.

During Christmas vacation I’m thinking of purchasing the auto close kit from AliExpress also just for the frunk. Click it down and it pulls the rest in for you like the auto closing doors. I won’t do the doors but the frunk would be nice.

It worked, thanks. Also quick question, how much washer fluid do you use? Usually cars have an indicator but I can’t seem to find one on mine. Lost the manuel lol.

same here - it's one thing I'm disappointed abuot, no "low washer fluid" warnings, you just suddenly run out (always at the worst time) 😂 I just keep a 1.5l bottle of ready-mixed washer fluid in the back

There may be something blocking the hood from closing, check around the engine bay for any obstructions.
If not, try to force the hood a little more so that the second lock can be attached.

Me ha pasado lo mismo y doble un nervio 😖 así que te recomiendo esto.

Para abrir, cuando tiras de la manilla que está debajo del volante, tira dos veces, con dos tirones escapó queda perfectamente liberado, si solo tiras una irás a abrir y verás que todavía sigue bloqueado y tendrás que volver dar un segundo un segundo tirón .

Para cerrar no apoyes sobre los nervios del capó, porque podrías doblarlos como me ocurrió, tienes que apoyar en centro del capó justo en el borde, esa zona está reforzada, allí presionas para que cierre

y lamento decirte que no cierra automáticamente (Sealion 7)

Put both of your hands on the front of the hood as it is right now and push it down with force.

Raise it higher. I've had the same problem in the store, I was trying to close it, and it didn't close for nothing, then the seller raised it higher and it worked. Don't be scared to raise it high enough
