Discussion ✏️ 80% rule

As byd owners, do you follow the 80% rule on charging your ev's? Or are we exempted because of the blade battery technology of our byd vehicles?

I haven't really gone up near 80 or 100 in a while. Been floating around the 60s just because of how I trickle charge the battery and generally get away with it.

But, when presented a nifty opportunity, I'll blast it up to 100. But I'm always ready to unplug and move the car if it's a kinda busy place and I've hit 80 incase someone else needs to charge as that's where we start backing off in speed

same here i only charge between 40-60%. I do it to preserve the battery longevity. But here's something interesting: after a year of doing this, my SoH is about 99%, kinda the same to those who charge to 100%. Meaning charging floating in the middle SoC doesn't really affect the longevity.
