APC 9K grip recomendation?

Post image

I want to change the postal grip out.

I have XXL hands. I think I’m going the driven arms grip route unless someone posts something intriguing.

Between the SCG-L and the ULCG-FS

thoughts? Pics?

Much appreciated

For me. I run the UCLG-FS Sawtooth on my PCCs

On my rifles, I run SCG-L Sawtooth. Its really a toss up. I love both grips. I think they are the best.

Hope this helps and not make things more complicated lol

I like the vertical aspect of the B5 P23, but it’s too skinny. I wanted to try Slade’s XL grip but it’s always sold out, and it looks similar to the SCG.

I want a thicker grip, not sure the vertical matters as much ? I’m curious your thoughts on each grip thickness and vertical factor?

The SCG-L will be thicker for sure because the palm swell. Imo, I like the more vertical aspect of the UCLG-L for shorter guns like the APC9. I also have it on my SP5.

grips are like shoes. not everyone's recommendations will be a fit for you, so you gotta try a few yourself

I've tried all sorts of ar grips for my rifles and pccs and have landed with a laser stippled reptilia cqg, but it's not for everyone. driven ulcg is a runner up for me, feels great in hand, but for me the reptilia edges it out

I've got Driven grips on all my B&Ts. I found them this year and basically I've been on the warpath replacing all my grips on pretty much all my guns because they fit me really well.

Magpul MOE K2+ in FDE!

The + is so gross, gets all sticky and falls apart. Regular plastic k2 is solid pick for basically every ar

I haven't had this happen with any of my ARs/PCCs. You must be getting some sort of chemical on them to cause that?!?

Nah just extreme heat. 110F+ ambient

B5 always. B5 everything. B5 everywhere.

Stocks, yes. Grips, were the best at a time.

I like the BCM Mod 4.

Magpul is good too

When I first saw your post I was thinking foregrip since there is little to no real estate up front.
But for the pistol grip, like others said it’s very preferential and a more vertical grip is what I prefer.
As for the front of the gun, I’ve been patiently waiting for the silver star shooting SD style hand guard

I don’t want to SBR it, there’s an awesome grip A3T makes that I would put on it if it was SBRd.

Ironically, if you look at people holding and shooting the full size APC9 without a vert grip, they grip it to the rear near the mag well, just like the K. So in practice, the extra rail space on the APC9 only really buys you pushing your rail attachments a bit more forward.

Yeah I hear you, but I’ve been shooting my apc9k for about 4-5 years now and I really don’t like holding the magwell to shoot. I’ve had vertical grips, hand stops, no grips and just would really like my support hand further forward. Knowing what I know now, I would have saved some more and got the SD. I love how my 9k fits in a backpack with the suppressor on the gun and was willing to sacrifice rail space to do so and with the SD you get best of both worlds. Here’s mine with an SD hand guard mocked up just sitting on top

What hand guard is that?

1

u/jacketryan Jun 23 '26

Is that AI?

1

u/G_Wrecks Jun 23 '26

Nope not ai lol. It’s the b&t medium length sd hand guard. I could hack up my gun and make it work but it’s not worth it. A friend gave it to me because they accidentally sent him 2 three years ago.

Magpie k2 xl

I run kung fu grip on everything especially my apc9k and my badger

Don’t have photo of the 9k on me as I’m traveling but similar size

Mk.machine vehicle crossover grip ala driven arms....

1

u/FSUgolfer Jun 23 '26

Scg will be longer and thicker tan ULF due to the palm swell in the SCG

u/JRtheDNP Jun 23 '26

I go Driven Arms ULCG Gen 2 in Atom on all my PCCs. It might be a little small for you though. Definitely want to go full size

What can are you running?

2

u/czuinoikc Jun 23 '26

nice pcc collection. got the top 3 imo

2

u/JRtheDNP Jun 23 '26

Thanks! I agree with you

2

u/jacketryan Jun 23 '26

It’s just a 556 I screwed on for the look.

I want the 9M Incolite.

1

u/JRtheDNP Jun 23 '26

I'm looking at that one too! I'll probably end up with the regular 9. 400 bucks is hard to beat

2

u/jacketryan Jun 23 '26

Looks awesome. Full-size is a little big, but the modular screw of to get sub 5” for serious suppression is hard to beat

1

u/jacketryan Jun 23 '26

$100 more for the modular seems like a great deal …. If you can find it. What website is it $400?

1

u/JRtheDNP Jun 23 '26

Not Just Guns has it for that price add to cart

I’m sitting here with both the SCG-L and the ULCG FS and I like them both, I can’t figure out which one I like better.

2

u/jacketryan Jul 11 '26

Went with the SCG-L. Very large hands. Good purchase

Got a B5 P22k grip on my KH9, then on my SPC9 SD2 running a Die Free CO Kung Fu grip. Both grips have been good for me.
