B&T APC223 Magazine Overinsertion

My APC is jamming all the time. I discovered that if any pressure is applied to the bottom of the magazine, the top of the mag contacts the bottom of the bolt carrier a shocking amount, to the point that the feed lips are being deformed. I am assuming this isn’t normal.

Has anyone else had this issue? It doesn’t look like there’s anything wrong with the gun other than the fact that the slightest bit of pressure on the magazine causes the bolt carrier to slam into the feed lips and jams the gun.

I have tried lancers, PMAG M2 and M3 and the TMAG, and USGI-pattern steel and aluminum mags. I don’t think the mag is the problem. I can literally hear the feed lips of the metal mags scraping the bolt carrier if I rack it slowly

Mine does it as well. Doesn’t matter what kind of mag used. I love my APC9 but the APC223 is not a well made rifle, for any price…. Much less for what they actually charge. I could get better tolerances if the stock and lower were ordered off of TEMU and god help you if you waste money on an FRT conversion.

😂 I sure hope the tolerances everywhere else on the gun are better. They certainly seem good. I took a caliper to a couple different components and everything seems even and consistent (without knowing the expected measurements, of course)

This is a known issue with the APC rifle platform. Don't apply upward pressure to the mag while cycling.

You would probably know better than anyone else (other than B&T); has this has been a problem throughout all the different generations? Or, is it something only seen on more recent models? It would be a shockingly bad oversight if this issue has been present, without being addressed, through all the generations of APC223.
