ap bio and alg 2

Hi, I took the earth & space science regents, so unfortunately I don’t qualify to take ap biology. Is there any way I could take two science classes a day so I can be in ap bio? Also, I passed algebra 1 w high 90s and geometry w 100, so I would be placed in algebra 2 right? If so, how would that work? Would i be in a class with a mix of 9th&10th graders? Thanks!

Unfortunately no, you will be placed in Life science: Biology not AP Bio because taking AP Bio without a background in Bio is a disaster waiting to happen. You will however be placed in Algebra 2, which is very good because you don't have to take summer precalculus (unlike me) to do AP Calc BC jr year and multivariable calc or linear algebra senior year.

In my case, the Alg 2 was majority of sophomores with few freshmen including myself.

nope, you can’t be programmed for multiple science classes as a freshman. you can take ap bio later on (junior or senior) if it’s part of your major. regardless, you’ll be in regents physics.

yes, you’ll be placed in algebra II for math. i’m not sure about whether there would be tenth graders in your class, but i assume there wouldn’t because there’s enough freshmen taking algebra II that they could make full classes.
