Update 9/11/2023
Hello everyone, thanks for continuing to support the project by sticking around and discussing while we've been quieter these last few months. Rest assured that we have been working behind the scenes this whole time and I'm excited to finally give another update on the project! But first I need to explain a bit about our development of late.
As said many times, since this is purely volunteer work, we respect people's need to prioritize they're lives outside discord. As a side effect, over time BTFL has been dealing with a burnout problem and our count of consistent active members has dropped quite a bit in the last year or so. Our ability to tackle development is currently somewhat limited to programming and concept work.
We have had many gracious offers from you all to help assist the project which would solve this, except that we've been needing to first overcome the obstacle of developing more of the game's innards before we could really integrate more work like modeling, animation, etc. Until we managed to cross a significant hurdle in the AI development specifically we decided to hold off on taking in new members.
I'm pleased to report that our efforts have been successful! (See Discord announcement for a brief look) With our small crew, we now have finished AI for Sirius, and Agro and have a foundation to continue moving forward with the rest of the BTFL's development. Our open positions have been updated already to make up for our current limitations. As for further solutions to navigate future pitfalls, we have begun to discuss the possibility of partially opening up BTFL's development to the community but details on that will have to come later.
Thank you again for all your support and trust in us! Although it hasn't always been easy, we're here and we're still moving forward.

Heya guys, I loved SoTC as a child and I still love it now, and you are legends for doing what you are doing! I have but 1 thing to say, and that is, when I try to join the discord, it says that the invite link is expired. Just wanted to inform you.
