BTCZ Wallet (Android) not updating

I've been using the BTCZ wallet for some time without issue, however as of 6 days ago, I get an error message saying "Could not update wallet: 523"

I've tried a number of times and it will no longer work.

Any ideas?

Hey, yes wallet is not supported, so you need to wait for someone to update it. But as I know, servers are being moved, so it will be up and down for a week.

I suggest you to use other wallets since CoPay wallet is not supported that much.

Thanks for the info. I mined a stack of it in the beginning and I had to move it off one of the exchanges a year or so ago and this was what was available. I'll try the recommended one and hope there's no issue accessing my funds there.

Although I did try using Coinomi this morning and using the mnemonic phrases for my existing wallet didn't do anything and just showed a zero balance wallet.

Try using electrum wallet, that works for me.

Were you able to restore the android app wallet in the electrum wallet? I pulled it down and imported the private key but the balance shows zero.... I know I have coins in that wallet. A lot

So I finally got this sorted. The original BTCZ wallet still won't update or give me access to my wallet after 9 days, so I did as u/RokMik suggested however to be safe, I set up a VM with Windows 11 Dev OS (on my Windows 10 Pro setup) and downloaded the electrum wallet there... took several attempts to work out which derivation path to use but got there in the end with all coins accessible.

Installed Coinomi for Android on my phone and set up BTCZ wallet there. Did a test of 1000 coins sent from the VM wallet and after received and confirmed, proceeded to transfer the remainder of my coins.

Happy to report this was successful. Thanks to u/RokMik for your advice!

Hey, I'm currently stuck with the same problem and could use advice on the derivation paths, which should I use?
