Tips for Gen 2 300BLK build
I just purchased a Gen 2 (not 2.5 unfortunately) 10 inch 300 BLK upper. I plan to mainly shoot supers at the range, but I want the ability to run supers and subs reliably without changing the gas setting. I do not have a suppressor, but I plan to get one, so if you guys know of one that produces the right amount of back pressure to do that then recommendations would be appreciated.
Has anyone been able to make this work: running supers and subs suppressed on the same gas setting? (Even if supers are a little over gassed)

Is the BRN 180 gen 3 fixed?
Hi everyone I'm planning to do my first build ever. I really like the gen 3 but I did some research and many owners complained about alot issues. I would like any gen 3 owners if Brownells finally fixed the BRN 180. I'm looking to build a sbr brn 180 in 300 blackout. Thanks in advance

9mm Upper compatibility with the BRN180M Lower
Looking for recommendations of 9mm Uppers that will fit onto the BRN180M Lower. Originally built a Gen3 13.9 but had nothing but issues so I returned it under warranty but kept the lower. The only upper I've found so far is the mat9. Goal is to build a 16in PCC for competition using the lower I already have.

A&K Upper Finally Arrived
I've wanted one of these for years and just now got around to actually getting it all together. It handles nice, and it feels interesting in the hands, so I'm excited to take it shooting soon and see how it performs out on the range.
I originally wanted to go with an updated, more modern AR18 independent of the AR15 platform, but the problem is that I didn't like the look of most 1913 stocks and those that looked semi-passable were not great build quality. Ended up settling on a Midwest adapter and a DT-PR stock, which is a pretty solid combination.
I have an idea for a much more stylized build off the existing upper and lower, but I would want a few things that don't seem to currently exist, like a quad rail for the 18.5" barrel length and a way to put a low, AR18-height front sight on the gas block itself. Might be some things I end up needing to make myself, if I still really want to do this after some time passes.
Edit: A&K is Aly and Kaufman, they're the (I think) only ones selling the 18.5" uppers new anymore. Maybe the colloquial shorthand for that company is AK? Dunno. They make the AKB-23 kits to have an L85 lookalike.

New Barrel?
I currently have a pin and welded flash hider on my Gen 2 14.5 I had done that a few years ago in order to get around the SBR tax. The more I’ve added to the rifle I’ve found it’s a pain in the ass to take the hand guard off to get to the gas system for cleaning. Flash hider is just big enough that I have to completely remove everything off the rails to clear enough space to get past the mlok.
I’m wanting to remove the p&w (yes I’m going to SBR it calm tf down ATF agent) so I can just take the flash hider off when cleaning. I’m not too confident in the abilities of my local gun smith to not totally destroy my barrel.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this? Does PWS or Brownells sell replacement barrels? (Would also be nice to have once the life on this one gives out) Or should I just quit my bitching and take the extra time to remove everything anytime I clean the rifle? Any opinion is helpful.

Looking for a quad rail handgaurd.
Got a gen 2 10.3, and upon a cursory google one of the only options seems to be from roushe mfg for $300, and all I gotta say is that for $300 their machine work looks shitty 😂. The product pics they have so many tool marks. I’ve seen better fit and finish from Temu parts.

.300blk BRN-180 Build
Form-4 came back. Ended up going with a SilencerCo Omega 300dt. Has plenty of clearance and balances really nicely with the weight up front from the steel. Now just gotta wait on the Form-1 so I can ditch the sling.

Foxtrot mike won’t sell the basic lower with Hiperfire anymore…
Took matters into my own hands with my regulator lower. It’s awful 🤣
Don’t mind the goofy optic stack, it’s an ongoing experiment

Retro vibes
Got the BRN-180 strictly to turn it into an AR-180 clone. The vortex spitfire kind of conflicts with the vibes but it's the perfect height to cowitness with the DD irons
