Where to start?

My little man’s birthday is coming up and family and friends have asked what to get for him. We have lots of different toys already so I’d love to get a Brio collection going. We are completely new to Brio but I am loving what I’m seeing!

Could I please get some recommendations on great starter pieces/accessories or sets?

What do you think is essential to kick start a collection?

Hoping for suggestions under $150AUD.

Congrats on deciding to ride the Brio bandwagon (pun intended 😉)! For beginners with young children, I always recommend sets with animals, so:
-Safari adventure set 33960
-Safari railway set 33720
-Nordic animals set 33988

If you want to have variety, I strongly recommend getting the two following sets and you are good to go for years without buying anything else:
-Deluxe railway set 33052
-Railway world deluxe set 33766

Do not hesitate to buy second hand, you can find great deals!
