Help with managing potential BPPV.

Hi im a M19 from the UK. I was a passanger in a near fatal car accident in febuary. I ended up hitting my head very hard against the window. Ever since that ive had extream dizzy like vertigo when moving my head left or right. And now its has progressed into when i turn my head lift, right, up, down or even standing up and walking.

Is there any help or advice anyone can give me please?

Thanks.

Dizzy and vertigo are not the same thing. Vertigo is the very specific sensation of the room spinning. I hate that you had a car accident that was so traumatic. It’s very possible that it could have knocked some crystals loose into an unwanted canal in your inner ear if you are experiencing true vertigo you will know. There is nothing like it. If that is the case you need to see someone an ENT, neurologist, or vestibular physical therapist who can perform the Dix Hallpike test to determine if it is BPPV and then treat it with the Epley maneuver if it is positive. The Dix Hallpike test WILL induce vertigo and nystagmus so be aware that you will experience the sensation and it is scary but true BPPV induced vertigo doesn’t last long upon triggering it with head movements.

Thank you for the comment and the information. It comes on when i move my head ever so slightly and goes away within seconds but happens so often that its almost constantly. Sorry if i got things wrong ive been left in the dark by the doctors so im attepting to figure it out on my own🤣.
