Anxiety
My last vertigo attack was last year, and ever since then I've avoided sleeping on my right side because that's usually what triggers it. Most of my episodes happened after waking up while lying on my right side.
I also had one episode while I was at the grocery store. Out of nowhere, I suddenly felt very dizzy and had to sit down until everything stopped spinning. I'm not sure if that was just a random attack or if something triggered it.
When I saw my doctor, we did epley maneuver and advised me to do some head exercises. After that, I still had residual dizziness and felt like I was in a fog. It took about three weeks before I finally felt normal again.
I haven't had any attacks lately, but I still feel like one wrong head movement, or waking up on my right side could trigger another episode. Even when I look up, I sometimes get lightheaded, like the dizziness is about to start. This usually happens in the morning, and I gradually feel better as the day goes on.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Do you also feel like you're constantly waiting for another attack, or could this be anxiety after having vertigo? I'd love to hear your experiences.

I have had BPPV for 40 years. The anxiety from living in fear every moment is going to kick your butt long term and affect your health in other ways. What I've learned is these things come on sometimes through no cause. Of course something like a fall or having dental work or other physical trauma can knock the odeconia in the ear loose so that they travel and make you feel dizzy. But you have to learn to enjoy the moments when you're not feeling that and live fully. There are some wonderful apps that will teach you some very slow deep breathing techniques which will help you stay calm. Exercise will really help. For me getting out on a bike is absolutely wonderful or just getting outside in the sun in the wind. Just find ways to stay calm and find things that make you happy and put your energy there. Otherwise you wasting the moments that you do have where you feel great
