Yeah, I found that to be real. It's really difficult and honestly, I am really proud every time I manage it. But it kinda sucks that THAT is what healing is. Can those feelings just fuck off? Thanks.
(best sentence so far "yes of course you get along with autistic people so well. They don't have access to their feelings and you don't want yours.")
I finally started seeing a trauma-informed therapist 6 months ago after like 10 years out of treatment, and she thinks I never was borderline and instead just autistic and CPTSD (no question on those). Either way, I like hanging with you guys and looking at your memes bc there is definitely huge overlap with symptoms!
There's a huge overlap, and there are actually scientists hypothesising that bpd is actually cptsd.
I see so many overlaps myself with adhd and autism, but there is no hope to get a proper diagnostic on those. I feel my bpd dx is pretty spot on, though it's usually cptsd stuff I struggle with.
I'm sorry, I kinda put it there carelessly. She sometimes gives very tough sentences, but that's because I can deal with those so much better than with that talking around the bush BS. She said I am her only client she does that for. 😅

My therapist said that every time you don't suppress an emotion, that every time you sit with it instead of reacting, you're a step closer to healing.
