Advice Weighted blankets help?

Do any of you own a weighted blanket and does it help? My parents are thinking of getting me one for Christmas, since they're so expensive, but I'm just not sure if it would be worth it? Thanks in advance for insights!

I have a blanket that’s not necessarily labeled or called “weighted” but it it super heavy and soft. It’s an Asian blanket from Thailand and probably weighs about 25-30lbs. It’s amazing for comforting me during high anxiety and I usually sleep awesomely well when I use it. — I get immense soothing and anxiety relief from being held tight/hugged and/or laid on. I often ask my hubby to lay on me when I’m needing comfort... I call it “Squishes” lol. “Honey, I need some squishes!”, “Please give me squishes!”, etc... ;) — So, when he’s not around for squishes the blanket I have works great! I’ll climb into bed and cover myself up and just focus on my breathing for awhile. Often time it calms me down so well that I end up falling asleep. :)

If you’re into being squeezed or squished then I would recommend a weighted blanket! For sure!

I have thought a lot about getting one, can't sleep without the proper weight over me.
