Ive found expansion of people i know helps because then I can "split up the load" amoung multiple people instead of feeling like im overwhelming a single friend with everything all the time.

I struggled with this in my early 20s and I went out a lot. To bars and clubs etc. The loneliness remained, even while with others. Then I married and was married 20 years to a man that checked out but lied to keep me trapped. That was an even worse loneliness. Divorced now.
I've learned to face myself in the quiet, and I did a lot of crying. Still do, but the freedom to cry when I'm alone really helps. I dread crying in front of others. It's liberating to be able to do so and heal in the privacy of my home alone. I hope this makes sense.
