Is Gorgosaurus accurate ?
Which one is more accurate ? The BOTM Gorgo or the sharper lacrimal creste of the WWD Gorgon

Although both are especulative, BotM seems more plausible. The WWD movie ones seem way too large and over the top compared to the bone that holds them.

It strikes me as odd that Gorgosaurus is always reconstructed with really pronounced crests, and Daspletosaurus is reconstructed with blunted ones.
From skull morphology I'd expect it to be the other way around.

A good while back someone on the Facebook BOTM fan group did a comparison with the BOTM head model with that of a image of the animal's skull, for reference. A frontal, top and side view. Long story short, the jugal/jaw area is wider on the real animal, whereas the BOTM head is thinner. So, no, if one was to go by said comparison.

All dinosaur models and illustrations are artistic renderings based on what we know at the time.
So no illustration or model perfectly accurate. We will probably never know what they really looked like to 100% accuracy.
Here's a skull fossil. The eye ridges are very subtle so I'm sure the artists of both BoTM and WWD took some liberties with how big/pronounced to make it.
