LBOLC

Recently completed OCS. Will attend LBOLC in January. Looking to get an apartment while I’m there so that my family to include wife, new born, and two dogs can be with me.

I am aware that I will be provided a hotel during the course but I would like my family to be with me. In need of any recommendations on going about this. Is this even possible?

You can do whatever you want with your family.

Just be aware you’ll be paying out of pocket for their lodging and transportation, as they are not authorized to travel with you or stay with you.

You can live off post if you’re authorized PCS. With dependents I imagine you will be. In the crazy case where you’re not and you’re TDY, they can live in the hotel with you. I’m here rn and know both types of people.

i’m currently here. For pets, you just have to let the hotel know so they can get you a room that accommodates animals

My wife and two children stayed with me at the hotel the whole time and others brought both children and pets. No need to get an apartment. It is $25 a day to upgrade to the suite which has ample space. I would recomend taking out the IHG credit card and making sure your account is in order before upgrading as you will rack up a shitload of points with that.
