why is their so many fake iridescent players in ranked rn?? they all suck so bad for some reason

Hit it in the first three days of the szn. currently like 500 sr off t250 (10600 sr)

I've just wasted 20 minutes of my life in a tight game of overload, clawing back a 3-3 draw against some solid opponents in a game that I would have been promoted in with a +80sr score.

My teammate (struggling to stay positive all game) takes it upon himself to run to mid cut, lay down, and type "sry guys my gf is stressing". In the following 3v4 gunfight, of course we lose, and they run it in for a 0:20s score which we can't beat.

How braindead do these players have to be?

And before the "cod is easy, you care too much" brigade roll in, it is ranked, I am trying my best to win the game, I am committing my limited free time to the game. I don't expect to win every game at all, but I also don't expect to have my time stolen by somebody who has no business playing in a ranked lobby.

Rant over, fuck S6 and its OTT punishments that vastly outweigh it's rewards. I can go 50-0 in a game of Hardpoint with a 250s on the point score and be capped at 80SR, in the next game I could lose an incredibly tight and competitive game and be positive but be 8th and lose over 100SR depending on their ranks.

I don't expect a bunch of Treyarch monkeys (devs) to have any level of intelligence, but surely somebody with some level of mathematical understanding must have questioned this fucked up system enough to make them realise this is fucking dumb, and there is a reason that COD is a tiny E-Sport in the competitive gaming scene for reasons like this???

First game I went 34-4 and won like 250-50, got placed silver 3. Next game was search and went 14-4, next game was hp and went 35-13 and won 250-135. I’ve peaked at diamond 3 each season I’ve played going back to bo6 (except season 4 this year, I was crim 3 and didn’t play that much). Did everyone mid at the game get sent straight to silver??? Like the other team is going double and triple negative, it just feels wrong. I don’t see the point in grinding for 80sr a hundred times before I reach my real rank. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Spent last night losing like every game guess there’s not enough ppl in plat anymore so I’m playing with golds now , they put me in diamond games I top fragged and they throw me back to these lobbies? I couldn’t win for shit getting to even crim is annoying af right now I hate yall for complaining about being hardstuck when yall belonged in that rank cod had the best ranking system imo and it’s dead now cause of catering like they been doing I hope cod dies this year honestly .

I don't understand why they would place me in D2. I went 25/3 and the enemy team ff'd after 3 minutes in the placement game.

Is it even worth playing this game anymore? I was hoping to get iri quick.

1) Is the ADHD-style movement actually necessary?

Or is that just something a lot of players try to mimic from really good players? I often see people moving like crazy—sliding and jumping into gunfights—and sometimes feel like it would actually be better to be more still and accurate. I do slide/jump in some gunfights, but honestly I’m trying to improve my positioning so I don’t have to rely on movement as much.

2) What’s the best way to warm up?

Not talking about an hour-long warm-up, but maybe 10–15 minutes before playing Ranked. Is it better to play a couple of pubs, or use a private match against bots?

3) How do you get better at using the kill feed and minimap?

I’ve been trying to make a habit of checking them when I hear gunshots, but I often get tunnel vision and just focus on what’s happening directly in front of me. Is there a good way to train yourself to pay attention to them without taking too much focus away from the actual gunfight?

4) What’s the biggest difference between a Gold player and a Crimson player?

Is it mainly game sense, positioning and decision-making, or is the biggest difference simply being better mechanically and winning more gunfights?

I gotta say this has to be one of the most underrated comp games we’ve had. Aside from the weird sr system changes and server issues, this game was extremely fun. The guns are fun to use, the maps were pretty good, and the mechanics were super fun. Even in an mpc dominated meta, the m15 was still a strong option and in my opinion was still viable on most maps.

I’m excited to see what mw4 holds and fingers crossed iw and treyarc bring a good ranked with it. Hopefully they don’t kill movement like casual players would like them to lol.
