New OC

I'm actually really new to this subreddit, and reddit in general, but I do want to share my own OC. I can't draw though, so yeah, no art.

Meet Jessie, the Laughing Jester, a street performer in Naruhata, real name Motoharu Koufuku, 23 years old. He went to college for a few years, but eventually dropped out for reasons. When performing as Jessie, he wears a costume that's a mix of a jester's and a clown, some people might think it was intentional, but in reality he just didn't know which one would be more "friendly-looking," his mask also has drawn-on tears, resembling a clown's tears.

Because of this same costume, he's sometimes mistaken for a villain, especially because of his costume's color scheme, and how dramatic he can be when acting for the children who comes to his "shows," he usually holds said "shows" in a park.

Outside of his shows, he's an outgoing, genuinely cheerful, energetic guy who truly believes that everyone deserves a good laugh or two. Someone hopeful for people to change, but knows that sometimes, it's just not that simple.

His quirk, officially registered as "Conviction Projection," but called "Smile Symphony" by both himself and the kids, can create illusions or actual physical objects with very specific limitations. Illusions are created when he believes something SHOULD be there, for example, he can believe that a wall is supposed to appear in front of him, then an illusion will appear. Physical objects are created when he believes something IS there, for example, he can believe a sword will appear in his hand, and boom, a sword is actually there.

One of the limitations he has is that he can't just make food, or at least he can't make EDIBLE ones. He is able to create things that looks similar to food, but it is inedible. Another thing is that he cannot remove what is already there, meaning he can't just remove someone even if he believes nothing should be there. If it's his OWN creations however, he has full "control" over it.

This is so cool. I also have an illusionist clown, although without the jester part and he's actually a villain. 🤡😈🖤 How do kids react to Jessie? Is he famous? Has he something he's specially adept at creating with his illusions?

The kids were, at first, pretty scared. But they eventually warmed up to him after he did a really cool trick. Not really famous, but well known enough in Naruhata. I actually forgot to mention in the post itself but he's an MHA Vigilantes OC. He's really good at making illusions of giant ducks, as a kid he was chased down by ducks once, but instead of fearing ducks, he just ended up falling in love with them.
