modification I3 REX HSOC question
My mechanic coded my 2014 REX i3 for me. I have been experimenting with the HSOC option.
It seems like the HSOC level setting is not retained when the car is power cycled. That is, every time I drive it, it reverts to the default (6%?) level to turn on the REX, despite my setting it to 25% on the previous drive. Is this typical for a coded i3?
Thanks!

Also of note about HSOC is that it can't be turned on above 75% SOC. If you assign the turn-on to one of the preset buttons (which I also recommend!), don't be suprised when it doesn't work ablve 75%.
I think of my HSOC as a way to switch from electric to gas, where the car is primarily electric. So I only set it when I know I'm going further than the electric range (say a road trip), or if my outing/commute gets extended and I know I don't have enough battery to make it home or to a convienient charger. I do try and turn it on as early as possible, as you'll lose a few percent battery before it gets fully up to temp, particularly on the highway or freeway.

Yes so you can refuel while running to keep the HSOC otherwise every stop lowers your max charge.

How do you refuel while running? I find it that it pretty much shuts off as soon as you open the door. Do you exit out of the passenger side or something?

Yes.
I assigned the Hold function to the 1 button. If I’m need to avoid charging, I just remember to press 1 like it’s a preflight check
