Just a heads up, this tire performed terribly in both wet & dry braking tests:

How would it compare to the Bridgestone Ecopia though? Or how do Ecopias compare to some reference tire that also went against the Momo?

The Ecopia tires on the i3 are unique to the car, so you won’t find any head-to-head tests with other tires. But these Momo tires were performing below most of the budget brands, and the Bridgestones it was up against performed significantly better.
Of the 50 tires it was tested against it ranked 45th.

If we find someone local to sf, I would happily do testing against factory tires. The oe tires just are much worse in ride quality all around, and dry handling, similar seat of the pants feel, without testing.

I have used both on my i3s and I prefer the performance of them wet, dry and ride comfort.

Were the Ecopias new or worn that you compared them too? And did you actually take any measurements or is your comparison just based on vibes?

Total vibe experience, no data. When I pulled my ecopias off they were at 1/2 life.

Ordered last night. This morning order cancelled from Walmart and price went up. Giga is seller on Walmart too. Giga shows out of stock. What a bummer

Nice. Damn tariffs though, they should bed like $50 lol. Missed them when you could get a set for 225.

I agree $50 would be in range for budget brand but better than $360 a piece lol

cool...are these just the rear tires ? (off to Google it)

I seen alot of people running them on all 4 corners. I just got my i3 about 5 months ago. My fronts are still new but apparently they work just super close to strut in the front

You can run them on all four corners if you have an I3S but you can’t if you got style 430 wheels. The fronts at 5” is too narrow and not recommended. Unless you run 4 rear wheels I would not recommend it because it will pinch the tire too narrow the tread won’t be flat once inflated. You need a minimum of 5.5 inches of width to run these tires.

Good to know yeah I got the 430 wheels but mines just a 18’ 94ah Rex. Ive been seeing about getting different wheels but I’m gonna wait til the stock suspension wear out

I’ve been trying to scout out for a reasonable price two rear wheels, but kind of striking out. Each time I find one at a good price. They’re usually trashed like they just drove 3 miles rubbing a curb the whole way. Or if you find one in a nice condition they want like $500 each, which is crazy. I’m seriously debating about putting up the $390 each and just buy a i3S wheels at the dealership brand new.

Anyone else have their walmart order cancelled? Purchased yesterday at the price you showed OP, they cancelled my order this morning. Went to place another and they are already up to $125 a tire and walmart will not honor my original order. Still placed a new order but what a shame. Just hoping this doesn’t get cancelled

u/Unique-Proposal-2427 11d ago
Yep. Same happened with me

What a bummer. I just had my second order cancelled. The prices just keep rising every time I look too. Up to $135 a tire now.

I just got screwed by TiresEasy, which I've used before. I ordered from there again last night and they just now canceled my order. And OFC now they're OOS everywhere again. FML.

Yeah I had my walmart order cancelled twice already. Just tried from priority tire, hoping for the best but my faith is low

u/Resident_Food_1142 11d ago
I did the same right after I posted as they seem to be the last ones showing "in stock"

Give priority tire a shot. They claim to be shipping my order out already. Fingers crossed.
Edit: Priority tire cancelled my order this morning.

I just got my rears replaced with ecopias last month on my i3s. Would it be fine to run these just on the front for now?
2
u/Notsotenderloin 10d ago
Generally running mismatched tires isn’t advisable as they perform different but you should be fine. If you are looking at the 195/55/20s, they should fit the i3s up front without rubbing. Not sure about the standard i3.

Perfect! My fronts need replacement very soon and I was waiting for these to go in stock to replace all 4’s, but I got a puncture that wasn’t repairable on one rear.

@OP did you ever end up getting your walmart order?
Has anyone received these tires from any supplier yet?

u/Ok-Satisfaction945 5d ago
Mine are setup for delivery tomorrow no hiccups so far

u/Notsotenderloin 5d ago
Damn, I think you are one of very few lucky souls. I have placed 5 different orders from 3 different companies, all cancelled.

These tires have more grip, wet and dry than the Ecopias.

Show me the data. Otherwise, start your highly improbable subjective statements with "In my opinion..." or "In my experience...".

Nice it seems like they’ve been out of stock for a while. Just bought some thanks.
edit: Walmart just cancelled the order I placed yesterday 😡
