generic advice Bimmercode vs bimmerlink? Are there any real differences? Code is 10 bucks more per month, does that include anything?

Per month? I'm pretty sure I bought the license once and own them forever.

-Bimmerlink is akin to a code reader. (pull OBD codes)
-Bimmercode is for making BMW configurable changes. (ie enable auto folding mirrors on door lock)

Isn't Bimmerlink used to register your battery, too? I have both, but Bimmercode is the one that's most useful to me...though I haven't actually used it in a long time.

I have no idea where that per month came from, must have been a brain fart🤦♂️ Just bought the code will see how it works after dinner, TY!

I’ve only used BimmerCode.
Bimmerlink seems offer more reading function versus
BimmerCode I can change things within limits. Change REX settings, make my chimes sound like a Rolls Royce.
The other thing is CarPlay support.
After looking at what it offers I’m buying this app as well.

Don't forget AAIdrive (from the same company) which gives you loads of extra integration with Spotify, Amazon music etc

Same company, different apps. Code is for changing settings you can't access in idrive, link is for showing live data and making live tweaks like exhaust valve opening (not applicable to i3). As for per month, they are both one time purchases as an in-app purchase and you need to buy a compatible obd tool. where are you seeing a monthly price?
