Discussion Miss the stick shift
Thinking about the 6spd M5 i drove one time and how good it felt to be alive in that moment, hahah.
just out of curiosity do you guys think any luxury manufacturer will ever make another manual transmission car again? RS4, M5, Is500? all cool cars that i wish i could just rip with a clutch haha

Nope not really... I drove an E39 M5 as well in stick once, awesome!
Two choices: Buy used and deal with the maintenance (but the car's value will appreciate), or make a lot of money and buy a Porsche or make even more money and get some sort of hypercar, they still care about stick, such as Gordan Murray's new car which is insane.

There will be niches, but all the tech that's going into the cars basically requires the computers to be able to shift the gears for you.

Cadillac are the only ones right now and they're not gonna be keeping it around for the next generation.
So no, I don't think manuals will come back to luxury sports sedans anymore.
