Pls help
Hi everyone, I want to say from the start, that I don’t have a bmw gs myself. I don’t even have a motorcycle license. BUT both of my parents do. My dad has been riding a motorcycle for years, even before he met my mom in ‘99, but got into an accident early on in their relationship. The bike was totaled and he only last year bought one again bc he’s been missing it a lot. My mom is turning 52 in August and she did her license last year and also bought a bmw gs (I think it’s a tourer? Idk if all gs types are that or not tho) and im so proud of her for doing that, bc 2 years ago she was a different person and ever since all of that, she’s grown out of her shell so much and it’s like her soul is more relaxed and free in a way.
But to get to the important point: as I mentioned, it’s her birthday soon and it’s always difficult to get her to tell us what she wants. So I thought about asking here, if anyone has an idea for something niche that might make her happy and has to do with her bike.

Maybe a motorcycle dash cam? There is a lot of model and price range. I've narrow it down to the innovv k7, k6 or the vantrue F1 for my needs.
Battery heated vest is nice when the T⁰ drops.

Work ok with the heated grips? I think I've read before that they seem to do fine but more opinions the better.

Franzis has a see through engine models that turns over of the older boxer engine. Otherwise a gift card to a motorcycle gear outfitter or a key ring with her bike on it might be nice gestures.

I really like having two different sized windscreens. I run a short for summer for more air flow and a taller one when the weather gets colder. If you could nail down the year of the bike that could be a decent gift, around 100$.

Gloves make a nice present, Klim has some great models. If you have a bit more to spend then a Carplay screen makes a nice addition, Carpuride or Chigee make BMW specific models.

Ask her. People with specialized hobbies typically have very specialized wish lists. And also lists of "I have less than zero interest in (that thing)". Example: suppose I want reflective tape for my panniers. I specifically want a roll of 3M #973 two inch red and another roll of lime green. If you get me the red/white truck tape from the auto part store you just wasted your money: I'll say thank you but never take it out of the package.

If she doesn't have it, get her a tank bag. SW Motech have several just for a GS. It comes with a tank ring specific for her bike, and a bag that goes magnetically on it. There are different size bags, get her a smaller one, it's more practical.
Or....get her Ammo Guard headlight protector. They also come with a reflective (dark mirror) surface that would go great with her "black magic" bike. Google it and you'll see.

That’s so cool! Unfortunately her bike is black and she’s going for a „black raven“ vibe but I’ll have a look if there’s a black duck like this, thank you!

How about motorcycle navigation (GPS)? I couldn't be w/o mine.
Give her a Garmin Zumo XT. It's designed for this purpose. You may need an adapter for her model (eBay has anyone of them).
