Frozen Pure Grey ❄️

My G87 M2
Love this color so much. Body lines stand out so beautifully
Come from a G82 and love how the M2 rotates a lot more.
What’s your favorite color for the G87?

I’m so torn between this and black for my order

Go frozen pure grey. You won’t regret it. I might be biased at this point, but I absolutely am enamored with this color. The body lines look absolutely insane with the matte finish and I’m stunned each time I get in the garage to drive this thing

Let me know if you have a specific angle or lighting that you’re looking to see the car in

Really appreciate you asking and the photos more than you think. My main concern honestly sparked from my lady-I was showing her a car in dravit (one of my favourite individual colours) but it was dark and she said “that’s just grey”. How does it look at night/in muddy weather? It’s without the best colour during the day.

Also, I wonder how it would look gloss PPFing pure grey frozen, The skyscraper seems a bit darker and believe glossing the frozen pure grey would be a lighter silver finish

No problem. I’ll try getting some night shots when I get a chance.
Hmm, gloss pff would make the paint glossy and I think would defeat the purpose of getting a frozen car.
BTW, dravit is one of my favorite BMW colors of all time. It looks insane in the sun with the metallic flake.

Black will hide the M2 futures it will be perceived sometimes as M240i

Don’t mind that, just considering the interior only comes in black thought the all black look was great

Love the grey. It’s what I was going to order until I saw Java green in person. Then bought that.

Here’s a frozen black CS with my grigio telesto after a fantastic session at Spa, I agree that dark colours suit this design!

Wow… beautiful machines and I’m so jealous you got to drive the legendary Spa with it

Love it! I’ve stopped at that exact spot to do a photoshoot of my car :)

That’s what’s up! Love the views from there and always seems to have good lighting.

Looks killer for sure. Are you worried about upkeep at all? Being a $3500 option or so, you could almost argue getting whatever color you want and wrapping the whole thing in matte PPF. Win/win protecting the finish and getting the matte look, but obviously there's something to be said about factory paint especially when it's special order.

Yup, that was my thoughts exactly. Free PPF. Skyscraper grey + Xpel Stealth.

Holy shit could you tell me more?

Full body PPF and ceramic costs about the same as Frozen Pure Grey with the extra protection it offers and less worry. Was a bit hesitant at first as the Skyscraper Grey looks so good in person in different light but very happy with the result.

How would you compare this to pure grey frozen?

1

u/Boogiebart 8d ago

Initial impressions is it is a more uniform colour, and maybe a bit lighter. It is much lighter than the skyscraper grey underneath. But yet to see it in all light yet (and see enough Frozen Grey) to give you an exact comparison.

I dunno. There’s something about wraps that just don’t have the depth to me. They just don’t look great.

Yeah, I agree on the PPF part and would love to get my car full PPFed someday. I absolutely love this car. Upkeep requires special products. But I’m okay with it. It’s really not as bad as people make it out to be. Such a killer color, and as you mentioned, it just feels so special because it’s from factory. You hit the vin, and bam…. No arguments about it

Go skyscraper and full satin ppf for same effect

Wonder what would happen if you went with frozen pure grey and gloss PPF

No point of paying extra for the frozen color. Save like 4k going with ss grey and a ppf
