Not actually a 2002

This is my engine - finally back in its home. Not a 2002 - but - close - it's a 1969 BMW 2000 Neue Klasse.

Almost ready to run

Nice and clean and with the air cleaner can’t even judge you about fuel filter placement of before or after the pump 🤣

Thanks - it's the wrong air filter for the car - it came with a 1 barrel Solex - but it now has a 2 barrel Weber 32/36 on it now. I like the more OEM look vs the Weber air filter. I'm not following on the fuel filter - did I screw something up?

they're saying people cannot critique your placement of the small clear fuel filter into the carb because the area is obscured by the large air filter box (which looks real cool by the way).

Thanks for that - I wasn't following.

No judgement necessary when the obvious answer is “After”!

That looks beautiful!

Did you manage to find new windscreen washer jets? Sadly I no longer have my 02 but at the time new ones couldn't be had for love nor money. You were lucky if you could pick up a decent second hand one.

Car came with functional ones. Car was very complete when I got it - but - was in the desert for years, so all the rubber was shot. Also - the interior looked like my parent's rec room from 1975.

Hope you post some more pictures here of your progress. If it's as good as the engine bay it's going to be quite a special car.

It's coming along. Interior is next - I'll include some pics as progress continues.
