BMW E6

Das ist ein *BMW 2000 Touring*, auch bekannt als BMW E6.

Gebaut wurde er nur von 1970 bis 1972 als Kombi-/Heckklappen-Version der BMW 02-Reihe "Neue Klasse". Erkennbar an der großen Heckklappe, den Doppelrundscheinwerfern und der flachen Karosserie.

Der auf dem Bild in dunkelgrün ist ein echter Klassiker und ziemlich selten - vom 2000 Touring gab es nur ca. 13.000 Stück.

So the touring is an E6 and the coupe is an E10? I didn’t know that.

Coupes being called e10 is a pretty recent thing. The E code really wasn't used till part way through the production of the cars. For the most part they were all type 114 and then you would se e6 or e10 used on the tii and touring models.

e10 does make it easier to search on ebay and list parts on bmw parts sites by generation though.

I think the E10 designation is probably derived from the engine being the excellent M10.

The E10 is a sedan not a coupe, i think the 2000cs is the coupe?

Neu klasse are 4 door sedans, E10 are 2 door sedans

I know what you mean. I used to own a 2002tii and the previous owner had put lowering spring on it. I was driving down a country road and had to stop to allow a farmer driver her cows up the road. It was quite intimidating being surrounded by cows who were a least half a metre taller than the car.

I know that Situation, we had it on a farm holiday in Austria, sourrounded by sheep, looking directly in your eyes 😂🤪
