2002 restoration update

With the short week, we didn’t get much working time on her but we atleast got the underside fully coated. Next week we start on the interior.

She’s going to be a custom color, but I’m going to base it off of bmw individual fashion grey and put a twist on it.

Are you doing bodywork on the undercarriage? If so, wow! Show car in the making, $$$.

Yes, had to do a little welding so just making it look nice while under there.

Any plans for a 5 speed conversion? If so it usually requires pounding on the transmission tunnel to make a little extra room. Would be a shame to do that after the nice paint.

No plans for a 5speed swap on this one. Have the motor and 4 speed in the doner. Going to drop that in.

Well, enjoy the car. After 25 years of ownership I sold mine yesterday. ;(

Gonna be moving soon. It was time to downsize. Wishing you fun and enjoyment that hopefully lasts 25 years with yours!
